It's Finally Payday

I'm currently running on a combination of caffeine, ignorance and meanness.

It's finally payday and it's been a long old month, tomorrow after work I'm taking my self out for an evening of street food, craft beer and maybe a little bit of a dance (not that I actually can). To balance that out, and partially (mostly) because I was totally broke when I did my food shopping, I've spent the last couple of days living on a daily intake of about 1000 calories and it's really starting to show in my mood and general mental state.

Over the last year or so my general daily intake has been around the 1500 mark and, although it took some getting used to, I've managed fairly well on that, without experiencing any real hunger issues or lack of energy. Right now it's about 15:30, I've consumed approximately 400 calories so far today, I have 2 hours before my next snack, another 2 after that before my main meal and my head is really starting to swim.

Cutting out that additional 500 calories is not something I'd recommend and I will not be doing it again, if I can help it.

Leap Of The Faithless

Hanging out in the weirdly orange lights of Burton train station... Does anyone else get that completely insane and barely controllable urge to take an overly dramatic running leap in front of the first passing train?... No?... Guess it's just me then.

My Hideous Visage (AKA Stroking My Own Ego)

I’m heading into town for a few drinks, so I’ve decided to try to look at least a little presentable and I’m currently failing miserably. Also the camera on this phone absolutely sucks.

P.S. That is not my room, it's the spare/storage room and just happens to be the only room in the place with a full length mirror.

My Face Aches

I’m always living in the hope that one day I might take a half decent selfie, but it seems no matter what I do I always manage to look like I’ve just been dragged through a hedge backwards.

Real Men Wear Cardigans

One of the few things I've actually been successful at over the past 12 months is losing weight. I've dropped about 10 inches from around my waist, having lost somewhere in the region of 5 stones, since this time last year.

I'd love to say it's made my more confident and given me a fresh perspective on life, but in all honesty I'm not sure that it has made all that much difference. I'm the smallest I've been since I was a teenager, and it's definitely lessened some of my aches and pains, but on an emotional level I'm still pretty much broken.

That said I have come away with at least one positive thing, I can totally rock a cardigan and no matter what anyone else says cardigans are metal as fuck.

P.S I still suck at taking selfies.

P.P.S Any clothing brands looking for a tall, slightly older, somewhat alternative, grizzled (ugly) looking model I'm totally available... and that's not at all because I now have a wardrobe full of clothes that are too big and can't afford to replace them so could do with some free stuff...
